This mic works only with devices that provide a small amount of voltage to the mic. I'm using this with a Panasonic BB-HCM735 network camera, and works fine. In this case the Panasonic camera outputs 3.3VDC to the mic which is plenty to power this Olympus ME-15. Since this mic is mono, and these cameras only have mono input capability, it makes a nice pair. I can pick up voice conversations at 40 feet into the distance outdoors.
